About Us

Sylvie Brûlé and Jennifer Clark founded Mimi Publishing Inc in 2005. In December 2004, Jennifer met Emily R. (”Mimi”), a nine year old magical child who told her that she would write a children’s book. Jennifer laughed it off as a funny comment from a sweet child. Three months later, Sylvie asked Jennifer to collaborate on a children’s book.

Pooling their unique resources, they were guided to create a character called Mimi the Angel who would gallantly save the world and inspire humanity to new heights of living.  Shortly thereafter, the women decided to self-publish their first book and create Mimi Publishing Inc. Today, they have co-authored and successfully self-published two illustrated
children’s books, Mimi the Angel Gets Her Wings and Mimi the Angel Visits The Hospital.

Both women are Angel Therapy Practitioners certified by Dr. Doreen Virtue and Integrated Energy Therapy Master-Instructors certified by Stevan Thayer who share a passion for inspiring children and adults to live life with grace, spirit, humour, love, compassion, power and purpose.  They realized that everyone has a unique and compelling story to share and important lessons to teach.

In January 2009, they decided to expand Mimi Publishing’s mandate to include adult stories of wisdom and hope. In April 2009, Passwords: Passing on Words of Wisdom and Hope, Volume 1, an inspirational series of real-life stories about overcoming challenge,was born. They have since been overwhelmed by the outpouring of people wanting to contribute their experiences to their series and are honoured to hold space for shared learning and connection.
